Description: For thousands of years, India has been the world’s leading producer of fine textiles. The country has a rich textile legacy, with strong traditions in weaving, dyeing, printing, and embellishment of natural fabrics. In this interesting interactive session, we will introduce you to the marvellous range of Indian textile traditions. The session is led by a knowledgeable textile enthusiast, and we encourage you to both ask questions, as well as share your own knowledge.

How it works:

Introductions and refreshments – 15 mins
1hr 15mins - Introduction to Indian textile traditions (presentation with interactive display of samples and Q&A)
45 mins - Saree Draping for those who would like to learn; it's also interesting to just watch!

Cost:

The cost depends on the number of persons.

Includes:

Excludes:

Transfers from/to hotel, professional videography/ photography of your session, costumes/sarees, meals. We can arrange all these at an additional charge.

Please Note:

There is a textile and craft store, at the session venue. If you would like to buy sarees, fabrics and crafts from an ethical source, this is a good option.
